Nope ... but i do wear glasses , do you think this might have something to do with it 

As for my snips , i've just had a look at the packet ... it says space them out 8 inches apart , i've got these in a raised bed at 6 inches apart ... do you think these are to close ??

they should be ok ish with that as long as your not expecting show specimans..
last year I planted a load with the correct spacing but as the seed does,nt keep I just scattered the seed in an used area of the garden, i still got some snips some not pretty to look at ect but they still tasted good and better then the supermarket dodo!
