Drenched hens
« on: May 29, 2010, 15:12 »
It's pouring with rain here and all my chickens are soaking  :(.
A few of my 3 year old bantams are particularly wetter than the other big girls. Will they get ill if they are wet for a long time? Because if I dry them, I'll have to put them back outside and they'll get wet again  ::)

Any ideas are welcome  :)

Mine are out in the rain too.

I think its only the top feathers that get really wet as the ones closer to the skin have a natural oil on them. I haven't seen any of mine completely soaked through yet  ??? But I may be wrong

Most of mine are outside, even the silkies who are not supposed to like getting wet!  :(
