Hi, its not always easy to rehome cockerels even purebreeds, you could try local free papers or notice boards in pet shop etc  - or you could eat them.

It's not easy to get rid of cockerels these days with so many people getting the incubating bug.  Any I can't re-home we eat!

You could try Preloved, or if they are good stock Practical Poultry.  Or the River Cottage forum.  but mainly people give them away now with so many around.

good luck with it!!!

we rehomed our pekin bantam boy to a children's farm, but he was very tame and rather handsome.

We have just had to dispatch a cream legbar cockerel, as he was getting more and more aggressive and we have young children, so couldn't risk it.

Think it depends on the breed, look and temprement to have any success in re-homing.

good luck

Do try the local press as just sometimes someone is out there is looking for what you've got - and some papers offer free adverts to fill their columns. Recently I was desperatly looking for a cockerel for some of my girls - light sussex, nothing uncommon, and hey presto!

Well oddly after 18 months of regular viewing of this site, I only found the classifieds 3 weeks ago. Much of the site is still shrouded in mystery, like the chat bit where things are moved to.......only found by looking at the main menu for all forums, not linked to the hen house. Ah well
