iffy Sweetcorn
« on: May 31, 2010, 21:59 »
That colder spell last week has really affected my sweetcorn and now im not sure if it going to recover  :(

They the stem is about 5 inches high but the leaves have turned beige and just flopped over will they recover do you think?

Cheers MW
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Not quite sure what point "skinupthen" is trying to make; as far as whether your plants will survive or not is concerned if the central growing point is still green(ish!) then there is some hope, otherwise it doesn't look great I'm afraid.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Mine got severely hit by the bad frost we had a while back, and the entire top growth went brown and soggy. I sowed some more, but left the "dead" ones in and they've now recovered fully. Not sure if the crop will suffer, but they seem healthy enough at the moment.

Ah.  Well, given that the internet world, not to mention forum members, have no way of knowing or comprehending your cryptic post, there's a risk that you will be misunderstood and the post will go off topic.

Best to give straight answers and keep the cryptic in-jokes off the forum, please  :)
