kenyan beans how to plant??
« on: May 18, 2010, 09:02 »
they will be ready to go out in the next few weeks they are not a climbing bean so do I plant them in rows and give support with a few pea sticks and string or nothing at all
or plant them in groups dosent say on the packet (or any where for that matter!!)
guess I am supposed to know ?  ::)
some people are like slinkys......they're really good for nothing, but they still bring a smile to your face as you push them down the stairs!!

No support is needed. Plant them about 9 inches apart. That makes them easier to pick than planting them closer. Each plant will bush out to fill the gaps between. They will be about 15 inches tall.

Pick them small and thin just like in the shops or leave them to get bigger. In fact try and pick them all small as some will always hide and grow bigger. If you keep them picked hard they will crop all Summer. If you leave beans on they will pack up.
