I did'nt get round to liming my brassica patch what's the thinking of putting some on before planting. It's had a bit of growmore weeks ago so should'nt react just wondering what everyone else would do?

A lot of the old boys on our site lime the hole before transplanting, fill with good compost pop plant in and firm down and water well. They have used this method for years here and works a treat.

Hi I am no expert but recall reading somewhere on here that you can stick some lime in the planting hole when planting so guess it should be o.k   Have you tried "lime" in the search bit?

I not only stick some lime in the hole, I also put some around the top of the soil when the brassica has been planted
