is it ok to transplant peas that have allready been in the ground for over a month?

never recommended but I have on occasions done it to fill gaps in rows. It is not at all certain it will work although I have usually done OK. I suggest you water the peas well the night before, lift with a good wide and deep  "rootball"" and move one by one when weather is dull or in evening or even when drizzley and then water well in. Make the new holes a good depth so rootball goes in OK or if roots get exposed let them dangle down into the hole rather than being squashed up. Firm around and water well.

I imagine you would be lucky to not damage a lot of roots  but you could also re-sow some fresh in and around what you transplant so if some transplanted stuff dies, the newly planted stuff should come up and fill the gap.
