hemcore is perfectly safe for chickens, I put mine down to a depth of about 2 inches in the coup and 4 inches in their nest boxes - they then rearrange it all  :lol:. No you don't need to sprinkle it with water for chickens.

its the fibrous pulp from the hemp plant (the stuff they make rope out of), it's very absorbant and is scented with citronella to help with flies  :D
