spring cabbage leaves

hi put some spring cabbage in about october last year. they are doing well, i was wondering if i can remove a few of the outer leaves to eat. or would this be detrimental to the cabbage growth

I`ve done that before now with no damage to the plant. Or you could pull the whole plant and use it as spring greens. :D

I pulled a plant at the weekend to go with Sunday dinner. Not masses of leaves but enough for two with some left over for bubble and squeak today. Very tender and tasty. Made a change from the glut of purple sprouting.
