 Hi all, anybody hazard a guess at what this is and if it needs to be made extinct! Well in my tunnel at least! Its on my oldest vine, and the ants seem to be harvesting them.

Is that white fluffy stuff....could it be wooly aphid

 It could be, the ants certainly like them. It has some sort of shell like top with the wooly bit underneath. When you squish them, they're red inside. Any ideas? Which site is best to send a pic to?
