I recently found out you can eat beetroot leaves and today I found out you can eat radish leaves, so... what else can you eat that is normally thrown away ? either raw or cooked .

You can eat the tops of broad beans when you pinch them out to avoid blackfly. A bit like spinach.

I like rocket flowers, quite peppery.  I graze on them as I flit around the lotty  :)  :Pea shoots can be stir fried, broc stalks can be cut up and stir fried too or steamed

Don't forget the lovely courgette flowers either battered or fried and dusted with icing sugar

probably one most people know (you stole my thunder in your very first post with beetroot leaves!), but courgette flowers are edible, and apparently quite nice deep fried in a tempura batter.

Personally anything fried in batter in our house comes either from the fishoil or the local chinese takeaway.
I hoe, I hoe, it's off to weed I go.

I am trying to grow black eyed beans this year just for the leaves. you can cut them when they are about a foot high and cook. also trying green chickpeas for leaves as well.
One kid is handful. Two kids.... Example for chaos theory. Hats off to my mum who managed three...
