any treats (and scraps count as treats) should be fed last thing so that they eat their layers first. Do not feed them too much scraps though as this can make them fat (mine have a little everyday  :)).
Staffies are softer than you think.

I've had to cut back on scraps as one of my girls is getting tubby (speckled sussex) ::) They still get every other day or so, but I give less and try to throw them in the opposite direction to where she is - as she is a bit tubby it takes her longer to get to them so the other girls get their share  :lol:

Mine get treats every day, usually to persuade them to go into te hen house at the end of the day.  Yorkshire puds are thier fav,s  :blush:
