I sowed some chard seeds about 3 weeks ago, carrots, beetroot about 2 weeks ago and spring onions about 3 weeks ago. Nothing has yet come up I know it sounds a bit impatient of me but how long do you give it before you think you've messed up and have to reseed?

My carrots outside took two and a half weeks, my spring onions took three weeks and the chard I planted last week have yet to surface - and I'm in the mild South. I'd give it another week or so.

They're all slowpokes on germinating so be patient.
