I planted a couple of courgette seeds in 4" pots on the windowsill (with heated prop) 4 weeks ago and left them to be watered by a neighbour whilst I went away on holiday. 

Came back to find them about 5" high and already starting to flower!  Have since transferred them to bigger pots and given them a feed but they are still carrying on flowering.  Should I snip the flowers off to let it grow a bit more or just leave them to it?

Depending on where you are its way too cold to plant out anytime soon anyway so I would just re-sow as a backup.  I aint sowing this year until early May.

I expect it will produce male flowers (long thin stalks behind the flowers) for a while before it produces female ones (small Courgette instead of a stalk connecting the flower-to-plant).

No point having Male flowers until there are some Female ones to be fertilised ... so taking them off (and cooking them ) might save the plant some energy.

Winchester is probably a lot warmer, earlier in the year, than Suffolk .... but I think it will be a while before they can go out, so pot on until its safe to plant them out.
