« on: April 13, 2010, 20:44 »
im a proud mum of 7 week old and some a bit older chicks i hatched in the inky :D was wondering when i can start introducing other foods to them such as a bit of dandylion or some grass or peas. there all doing well, 1 died in the shell and the others were infertile as we cracked them  and they were empty, after the time cut of to check. so i got 7 out of 8 v cute :tongue2: forgot how to put pics on again  or id put some on. dont want to give them bad tums by giving them things too soon

My little ones that are a week old are outside with their mum in an eglu. This is on the grass and they are eating that ok. I have never hatched in an incubator so not sure of the protocol of letting them out. Hopefully an incy breeder will be on soon to help you out  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

I assume that should be nearly off heat now at 7 weeks (perhaps just a bit at night?). Have you started to change their food from chick crumb to growers or rearers yet?
