watery poo
« on: April 11, 2010, 21:14 »
Hi there

I got three hybrids 12 days ago which I am keeping separate from my black rocks.  They all appear fine but I have a concern with one of them.  They are all around 25 weeks old and laying well.  Since she arrived her poo is very watery - it looks just like the one under the watery heading in Aunt Sals gallery of poo pics.  I have wormed them with flubenvet and feeding them quality pellets ad lib with a small amount of corn in the afternoon, they have fresh water with acv in daily.  I have checked for mites/lice etc and all clear.  They are all eating and drinking very well.  Could it be that I am free ranging them and they were stuck in a concrete floored pen by their breeder and the change in diet has caused this? They are all very lively and seem very happy but I don't want to mix them with my other hens until I check this poo is not hiding a serious problem.

Any ideas welcome, especially if they put my mind at rest!

it could be the change in the diet and also as the weather is warmer she could be drinking far more. Keep a close eye on her for a bit longer  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.
