What would be the latest I could plant 1st and 2nd crop tatty seeds. As some will know im about to take on a new plot and i have seed spuds chitted and ready to go but we are now told we cant get on the plot till insurance is sorted out which isnt going to be until end of April or even into May. Will i still have time to get those tatties in?

First earlies take about 10/12 weeks from planting to harvest, and 2nd earlies take about 14 weeks to harvest.
so, IMO, working from say, June, you would still have time to plant and harvest well before the frosts

Put your chitting spuds somewhere as cool as possible, but still frost free, and in the light -to try and hold them back a bit, if you can.

Thanks mumofstig the tatties are in my outhouse up against the window so they're getting plenty of light. Ive put a few in bags and containers at home but still got quite a lot left, thanks for the info.
