acorn squash
« on: April 11, 2010, 19:34 »
i got some seeds from a waitrose acorn squash earlier this year. i dried the seeds and put some of them on a piece of damp tissue, and then in a little plastic box. 1 and a half weeks later not a peep from them. i forget about them and found the box today only to see little healthy acorn squash seedlings  :D a good root system and two seed leaves on each plants.

i am well pleased  :D

That was a nice surprise
I like Acorn squash, they are quite generous with the amount of fruit and they set quite early in the summer. I was well chuffed with mine last year, so I'm doing them again this year :D
