tomato plant problem.
« on: April 11, 2010, 07:41 »
Hi Folks

Iv'e got some Shirley tomato plants growing from seed. They are in my green house and are about 4 inches tall now. I have noticed the leaves are turning an almost mottled white at the tips. not sure if this is a nutrient problem with the compost or a mosaic virus. Any ideas please .

this is quite often just the result of bright/hot sun on seedlings and it has been lovely for the last few days. 8)
Can you shade them a little bit?

As Lesley says, could very well be a touch of scorching. Just keep an eye on them.
