French bean question(s)!
« on: April 25, 2010, 13:19 »
Hiya!
I want to plant my french beans and was wondering if its too early to plant them outside? Can I use old cut off plastic bottles as individual cloches? Or should I start them off in pots at home???? We live near the south coast so I thought I can plant early?
Thanks

I've planted mine in root-trainers and are now in the greenhouse.  They'll be going in the ground probably next week ::)

I direct seeded mine outside last week knowing they'd be a few weeks germinating by which time the frost should be finished. So yes, empty bottles as cloches would work well for you carinapod.
