Quite a few on my site use them to grow strawberries - easier to keep the slugs off, so they tell me.

Wow, thanks chaps and chapettes!  There's a lot to be mulling over there!  No such luck getting a cast iron rolltop, you must be posh, mine's crappy fibreglass.  :tongue2: :D
