Broody Hens?
« on: April 04, 2010, 08:57 »
For the last week 2 out of my 3 hens appear to have been broody and given a chance are happy to sit in the coop. I removed the eggs daily and but now all 3 looked to have stopped laying. They all look healthy and are eating, and when encouraged to leave the coop, go about their business as usual however are keen to get back inside.

It’s the first time they have become broody (well I think they are broody) but just in case is there anything else I should be looking out for? How long is it likely to last? What, if anyhing, can I do to break the cycle?

Thanks All.

there are several ways to stop them being broody but it could be weeks before you get eggs again  :(
