Kermit, I have the first one, it burns for ages on one filling, I dont find it expensive at all. I've not found a problem with condensation either.

I don't keep delicate exotics in the greenhouse, so just have a small parafin jobby. I think I used it a total of 4 times this winter. Threw an old duvet cover over the GHouse at night in the snow and otherwise it had to take it's chances.

i lost nothing. the toms and cucumbers are now in the greenhouse and unless the weather forecast says it will drop below 2% then it will remain unheated. I guess I have a treat em mean keep em keen mentality to plants.

(Perhaps I should apply the same to my cossetted spoilt brats? - not leave them in an unheated greenhouse of course...the cupboard under the stairs could be quite cosy)

Great, thx for the recommendation.  Might look into getting one.  If only to save my marriage, kitchen is already like a jungle
