Raspberries too deep
« on: March 07, 2010, 07:41 »
Hi all

I planted my raspberries too deep, about 6-9 inches deep. I just didn't RTFM.

I planted on Friday - shall I replant or will they grow happily anyway?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Raspberries are tough things, I'm sure they'll find their way.

That's about how deep I planted mine about 8 years ago. I was faced with having just been given them by a plot neighbour and no reference book in my back pocket.

I've now got a 32' x 6' hedge of them from about 10 straggely sticks that I was given!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Thanks for that - I was hoping that I could just leave them be and sounds like they should be OK.

Fingers crossed!
