just made a batch of lemon marmalade after getting a load of lovley lemons , slice the lemons and soak over night with the pips in a bag then cook next day but who would figure not a pip to be found , luckily i had one pack of powdered pectin left so came good in the end .
if anyone knows where i can get powdered pectin , would be greatfull it was from silver spoon.

Isn't that just typical, I bet if you had wanted no pips it would have been full of them, I always end up having to fish them out of lemon cakes or lemon curd  Shall I save them for you

just need to find the powdered pectin from silver spoon if you hear of a place selling it , for jams i would use apple but i dont think it would work for marmalade .

I have put apple in marmalade before and it works just fine -- mine was grapefruit, and I needed to bulk it out a bit as one of the grapefruits looked funny and I threw it away.

I'm sure that lemon marmalade would set anyway without the pectin, assuming you are using some rind in it. After all you add lemon to some jams to help them set :)

Why not try just one potfull to see..........
