I reckon most of the plot holders would think I was rather batty if i took the camp stove down to the plot!
Much easier to go through me gate back to the house.

Would have thought they'd already come to that conclusion.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I reckon 4 people or 5 if we we're all good friends! it'll be better in summer on the patio outside the plotting shed with the bbq fired up.

I have a very old parrafin stove that I use to brew up on. I also regularly cook my lunch on it. Favorite is newly dug spuds, spinach, wild garlic and herbs. mmmm  :)

I always cook on my plot  :)  I have a single ring butane gas cooker which I can fit a kettle on or a pan.  I even cook chips  :D  Everyone knows I have mashing tackle so I end up brewing up for everyone.  If I have a few to cook for I break out the old building bricks and old oven shelves to make a hasty barbecue.  I keep the bricks stacked behind the shed :)

I love eating lettuce sarnis freshly made with all the various lettuces I grow.  Sweetcorn is best eaten on the plot with a boiling pan at the ready :)  I make allotment soup and all sorts. I love it and can't wait for this seasons cook outs  :)

We are only 5 mins from the plot, but I have been known to pack the lunch and flask to take down when we have a busy day planned.  If we come back to the house it is amazing where the next couple of hours go.   :D On the plot lunch is quicker and we talk about what needs to be done ....  much more productive.

My wife and I had a bbq on the plot last year and had sweetcorn straight from the plant - best I've ever tasted. Also have a stove down there and a mocha coffee pot, and sometimes brew up some soup or a fried egg.

I like doing things like bacon or an omlette made with garlic and onions as the scent draws em in  :D  Like moths to a flame  :)  Still, it's good to have company on the plot - sometimes - like when you're not busy  :)

We have done allotment veg soup straight from ground, washed and into the pan. also done omletes from next doors hens with broadbean, garlic and tomatoe fillings. Whatever is ready for eating really, new potatoes with a bit of butter on them taste like an exotic feast when they are eaten fresh from the ground. CC

It's great innit  :D  Courgette omlette with onion, garlic, thin sliced spud, courgette etc and when the salad is on-stream well, the world's your oyster  :) I shall be doing even more lotty cooking this year as I've moved so I am going to spend whole days there. Bring it on  :)

i have spud planting barbies it works a treat but ive usually got new spuds to go with the other food and of course fresh eggs from chucks, to go with the salad lovelly and you get the spuds planted in no time with less work for your self.

I took one of those disposable BQ down for my sweetcorn last yr a few times, for my supper after a nice long summer evening down there.

Did get a few glances due to the initial smoke from other plot holders tho , who didnt know what i was doing because we are not allowed fires.
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
