hi all,i remember last year sowing broad beans in tubes and having to turn a few of them.is there a specific way to place the beans,or do they find their own way to the surface thank you

I think you'll find that roots know to go down & shoots up.

Why did you have to turn them? They should have been far enough under the surface so that the first thing you saw was a shoot.

nothing seemed to be appearing and being inquisitive or nosey i had a look and the root was at the top and the plant was out the side

They'd have sorted themselves out!
