I found last year that my outside ones grew better than the ones grown in the greenhouse....no idea why??

I've read the same thing about basil actually.  Must prefer the fresh air (provided it is warm enough!)

Just give them a feed once a week with weakish tomato food and don't let them dry out

The old Turkish blokes on our site are planting theirs out now - they're about 8" high. So that's good enough for me in sunny London

No it's fine....the burst of warm weather must have really encouraged it

I also got my seeds from Real Seeds and both lots of pepper now have flowers forming and my two patio peppers each have open flowers.
