Has anyone come across one of these?
« on: February 03, 2010, 18:42 »
Looking at purchasing a rear tined rotavator and came across this on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/6-5HP-CULTIVATOR-ROTOVATOR-ROTAVATOR-TILLER-ROTORVATOR_W0QQitemZ330398750316QQcategoryZ112594QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BIEW%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D10%26ps%3D63

Seems cheap to me would expect to pay approx twice as much for that spec.

Too good to be true or not?

iv seen one,

and i couldnt get away quick enough, tinny body panels, thin blades and cheap quality engine

the blades on the one i saw where bent 3 days after him buying it and it was in a well worked plot it gained the dammage

so in MY opinion, i would avoid, could het a nice used good quality machine for that or liss.

any one else agree?

You do get what you pay for. A honda engine that size on its own would cost more. With a digging depth of up to 350mm at up to 850mm width, it would need to be made of some strong stuff. Its trying to compete with a T20

whn my mate boght one i was hoping it was going to be good, thinking i will get rid of my old stuff have a nice new one, lovely.

was disapointed, he got his money back after about 6 months, engine gained a tap and was leeking from the output shaft seal and the blade wouldnt stop bending.

also think he gained a wine from it but now 100% sure.

Ive got one of these and have to say its been brilliant!

I have done loads of hours with it and a friend used it on his plot for a long time too.

Mine seems to rip through just about anything at all!

Well worth the money ;)

Some people are are easy on thier equipment, others would smash a tank up in hours and blame the build quality. I am sure used with care these machines will be OK.

always worth asking them what there there terms and conditions are, and what they do if something breaks or go's wrong.

like bbf said, if its treated right it would be as good as the next machine
