I've got  6 shallots saved that are way too big to go into a jar when peeled, that I intend growing on. It will be interesting to compare.

It's DD and his "size" thing again!  :nowink:

Could be interesting though, spontaneous mutations can be the source of new varieties (anyone for Shanions or possibly Onallots?)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Not everything grows like that, you know. Grew Golden Gourmet & Pikant side by side.

Pikant were rubbish.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
