frost and eggs

just a bit worried the girls seem ok in this cold spell but i am just interested to know if i am slow at collecting their eggs will they freeze.This morning there was 1 on the floor and they had devoured it and they dont normally eat/break their eggs.
so what i am asking can they freeze and ruin if left to long at -10! 
If God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of food

Some people on here have said they freeze their excess eggs in ice cube trays to use later, so I can't see it being a problem.

yeah, fraid they do freeze, and as they freeze it cracks the shell. Once the shell is cracked, the egg is compromised as bacteria can get in. As for freezing eggs, they apparently dont freeze well "whole", people on here separate the eggs, and freeze yolks and white separately in ice cube trays. they can be combined again after thawing for scrambling, baking etc. I have never actually frozen eggs myself, but people do  :D

I had a big glut of eggs once and froze some, but I didn't separate them, I just whisked 4 eggs together as if doing scrambled eggs, the froze them.  Once defrosted they go a big thick and gooey, but cooked up as omelettes or scrambled really well.
