When you chicken ppl talk about 'hot mash'

in milk with some oats an sultanas with a bit of bread;
just off to give it to them..  I could eat it all warm on a snowy morn
i remember my grandad boiling up spud peel in a pan
dont fancy that ... Thanks in advance......
I cant wait to hear

i keep the hot meal for the end of the day before bed

Last night it was Weetabix made with hot water from the kettle. I stood in their run blowing on it for them  :) They loved it

Layers mash with hot water always goes down well.  Hot porridge oats they go nuts for  :)

Mine are eating warm mashed potato when I have any left over. They are also keen on potato and parsnip peelings so I cook those up with some layers pellets in water. They also like oats thrown in there as well. Cooked pasta always goes down well  and they go mad  for dried mealworms, on their own or thrown into anything.  Also keen on cooked sprout peelings mixed with any of the above, so in the afternoon they get a warm meal of whatever I have left over, often from the day before. In the morning they get cooked layers pellets mashed up, along with the dried in the feeder as usual, and they usually dive into that.

After reading this thread, gave my ex-batts some nice, warm porridge made with water last night...they didn't touch it  ::)  Just a frozen block of porridge left this morning.

They love the snow though - even eat it off my wellies when I'm feeding them!!!  :nowink:
