how do you know if seed pots affected by frost

as it says, how do you know if frost has got to seed potatoes? i followed what every one said on here, they have been in the shed since early december and during all this snow and ice we just had. got them out today and they looked like they did when they went in, but its the first time i have had any to store

Dave once the tubers start to warm up they will start to go browny black and weep fluid from them before finally turning to mush. I am sure someone had a thread on here earlier this year with the same problem.
