just got back from the allotment with enough sprouts parsnips and carrots to feed my family for the next few days its been another funny year some great successes some complete disasters but hey its all been worth it as allways

The only two things on my plate that I hadn't grown myself was the turkey and the gravy

baby carrots that I'd grown in a tub were a bit disappointing...probably sowed too late, but the leeks and parsnips in tubs were excellent. I'm glad I did the tubs in greenhouse thing as the ground here is absolutely frozen solid and impossible to get a spade into.

Fresh food in the middle of winter  it certainly is a wonderful life.
