anyone have an opinion on potting compost for it? soil or multi purpose ? i'm putting it in a half barrel. ;)

I'd go for a soil based compost - John Innes No. 2 mixed with a bit of multi-purpose to lighten it up.

Bear in mind this will be a field grown tree that's just been lifted so will need a lot of TLC to get it established.

Get a bag of Westland multi purpose with added John Innes no 3. :D

hi thanks for the advice,just read an article in the news of the world on Christmas trees.they recommend JInnes no 3 so i'll give it a go. ;)
