Forum members have already identified my Bantams as Buff Pekins for which i am grateful. Could anyone tell me what these other colours are called please? All this chicken stuff is still new to us so we know nothing! Also put up a pic of Hilary, our cockerel just 'cos i think he's rather splendid!

Hi top picture is a beautiful gold partridge pekin cockerel, middle looks like a lavender or lavender cuckoo pekin and the bottom one is a gold partridge pekin hen, love pekins with their frilly bloomers, yours look very good shapes - nice and round

Thankyou for that it's nice to be able to talk about them using correct names then i don't feel such a novice. The little lavender hen is the mother of most of our others but she always seems apart from the rest and is bullied a bit. She seems fit and healthy but is there anything specific i should check for?
