Shed conversion pic
« on: November 12, 2009, 14:03 »
Hi again just thought id pop in and post a pic of my shed conversion, its not totaly completed yet i still have to put vents in properly and make a few finishing touches.

Ive made some nest boxes which are situ on the ground and so far i have 2 perches and a third one lower to try and prevent the hens from sleeping under them in the corner.

I dont have a poop try i just do a wee poop collection in the morning i only have 6 hens so its not too bad.
The shed sits side on to the run with a sliding pop hole so the girls can get in and out.

Feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Lynda
Looks good to me :), plenty of room for both the chooks to sleep  and all of you to move around in. A bit cosier in there than the weather outside at the moment :D

that looks similar to my b&q shed i use for my hens, my nesting boxes are at the back and the perches run the length so they can see out of the window, they fall off their perches trying to look out to see who's coming to let them out

you do realise they'll perch on the nesting box just to spite you because it's higher up than the perches :D
