We have the white powdery mould on our fruit too.  New growth completely unaffected and looking very healthy.  The bushes are well pruned and in an area that gets alot of air circulation.  Complete mystery to us!

I reckon mildew has really got a hold this year due to exceptionally dry conditions.  Try BAK's recipe in the post prior to yours

That would be nice to see WG.  I have cordons and I find them less daunting to prune than a big tree.

I'd love an esaplier but they do take up a log of room when they get going!

Thanks for that will be mixing up a batch of baks home brew for the other soft fruit.
But am i right in thinking it isnt a cure and will not save the goosegobs this year but will prevent it next year sprayed before the fruit appears.

The mildew does not like the fungicide, and therefore you should see improvements on this year's growth / fruit.

Obviously any heavy rain will wash it off so spray again if you have had lots of rain this week.

btw - the recipe comes from an old Arthur Hellyer gardening book from the 1950s and 60s.
