Potatoes, do you feed them?

I noticed John said that he feeds his potatoes with comfry leaves mashed in water.

I don't seem to have comfry leaves, what would you use instead... (preferably out of a bottle, for ease and laziness)

You could make a nice cup of manure tea for them. Sackful of manure in a water butt. Or bucketful of manure, fill with water & strain through a sack (or it'll clog your watering can). Smells rougher than a wrestler's jockstrap.

Nettles in water are good too

When I made a path of straw/droppings from the hen house next to a potato bed, nearly all the (desiree) tubers next to the path weighed around 2 lbs each.
