Too late for Christmas potatoes?
« on: October 12, 2009, 13:38 »
Hi, I have just created my first ever small veggie plot  :), and I have heard that it's possible to plant some varieties of potato in early/mid autumn to be harvested at Christmas. I have been looking on Dobies / Thompson & Morgan but I can't seem to get any seed potatoes delivered NOW (It's 12 October at time of writing).

Is this because it is just too late to pull this off? Does anyone sell seed potatoes at this time of year?

Thanks for any info!

James

Thanks Leslie,

I feared as much. I will have to be content with my onions and shallots for now :)
