The photo with the fox in not my dog.  Mine are a bit larger than him. He is a tracker and has tracked the shot fox and probably gave the coup de grace. The dog on guard is mine and his friend looks very like the one witht he fox except for being a she. They are large Munsterlanders, German foresters dogs used for hunting deer and wild boar. Their job is to find, point, track and retrieve smaller game. One of thier habits is to take hold of te wrist of the hunter and lear him to the found game, or in our case the food store.
Now retired from the day job and working hard on my smallholding.

personally i reckon its us humans that are the pest seeing its us thats destroying  mother earth if only we left certain things alone they would leave us alone its as simple as that . and as for the spring watch guys they are all truly wonderfull and do a brilant job but i cant beleive u have not  mentioned simon king .

Agree with your thoughts in general. We do intrude prety much everywhere and tend not to care too much what we destroy or displace. It's becoming a much more crowded place to be, which is why we need to pass legislation to make people walk around piggy-back. Thereby using half the space.

And yes, kate humble is very nice  :D

i forgot to add that although my run so far as been very fox proof i now have to be on extra guard as much as poss , during last night the foxes around here must of had a field night  :lol: there was poo all the way round my run an even bits of dead rabbits etc that hasnt been seen for quite some time .
