yes, I have them too. 

I'm sure the wait is worth it.

 How old are they? are their combs red?  My little hens are about 22/ 24 weeks and their combs are growing so hopefully wont be long. It also depends on which breed you have and what age they are supposed to start laying, how long you've had them etc..
