HELP!
« on: September 23, 2009, 21:18 »
Ok got my new girls today and they all headed into the coup this evening now ive just been out to check them and ive found my 2 Brahma's out undernear the coup.  Ive popped them back in and closed over the wee door but left a gap, my concern is should i leave the door open incase they get pecked in there and need to escape or leave it slightly shut so they cant get out!!

HELP!!

hi, i know its nerve racking....but they are usually fine at night. Remember tho, if they can get out, them something can get in. they need to be locked away safely in the coop at night to protect them from prediters. good luck with them :)

Hiya well all good in the hood so far! lol Had to go and pop my girls in a couple of times last night, when i say they got out i mean they got out of the nesting box (sleeping quarters) and only into the first enclosure which is locked i have another fenced off area around the coup which they get to roam around in during the day.
My girls were the first out before light this morning and my other 3 only just appeared now!
So far so good im hoping over the next few days they will establish themselves and i can go back to having harmony!  :)

My original 3 girls are very quiet in comparison to the 3 Sussex!  they constantly chatter away.   :D
