Hi everyone,
Could someone tell me where i can get Coxiod from, i asked the vet and they said they had never heard of it , and did i know what the medical name was!!!!!!
Dont count ya chickens till they hatch!!!!!

I get mine from the local farm supply shop nails :) It's in with the pigeon stuff there :)

I think you can also get it on ebay :)

Thank you, i will look when i go in next, need to better prepare myself, as had to have a chick (sorry Elsie) put to sleep today.
Although the vet didn't think it was Coccidiosis! So still not sure why the chick died.

The trouble with hens even young ones they can hide their illnesses well :(

Hope the others are ok after they've finished their antibiotics :)

I know where Spalding is,  I'm from Kent originally myself, (bit far to travel now) as i live in the country side in Somerset now, so i will look in Mole valley farmers, but will also look on ebay as suggested. Thank you for the suggestion though  :D
i thought i was prepared for all this but they were the first 2 i hatched and we tried our best, but had to go to the vets as neither myself or hubby could face doing it ourselves.
i really didn't think i would get upset over having a chick put to sleep! But realise that they are just as much fun to keep as cats and dogs, and they are all my babies. :D
I read a thread on here earlier about no turning back as soon as you let a chicken into your heart How true those words are!
