I'm jealous !

Many many years ago I bought a black M (in UK), and watched it growing and growing ...
And we all thought it strange that the fruits were so pale .....  but that it must be settling in .....
Of course, the da***ed thing was a white mulberry   
Never seen a tree take up so much space in such a short time.

Ended up having to take it out.
So we've got no mulberries

We bought ours from Rosemary Verey, the author, some years ago.  We have to keep chopping bits off it as it sags over the paths.

Yes ours was almost like a weeping willow: the ends of the branches almost touching the ground.  'Spose I should have read up a bit more about them before buying.

Foxgloves.  They grow naturally in woodland.

Trilliums are also stunning in shade  Mostly I enjoy what we call English daisies, the very short things that flourish in lawns. Some call them weeds but I'll take them any day over dandelions, sow thistle, bindweed, wild strawberries, plantain and others 

Over here martagon lilies take about 5 years to flower from seed. You must have an exceptionally short and fast variety over there. I planted small martagon bulbs 2 years ago and expect them to finally surface in 2010. They also cost half an earth over here because they're so slow to grow and reproduce.
