I DID IT!!
« on: August 17, 2009, 09:41 »
Bought the 'Easy Jams' book last week, and it already looks like a cookery book that's been in the kitchen forever - well thumbed and covered in splashes of jam  :tongue2: !!

And I did it!  I'm no longer a 'Jam Virgin'

Only made a small batch to 'play' - but my goodness its just lovely, my very own plum jam!  8)

I'm so proud of myself!

Only problem is, I can see an addiction to jam making coming on.... I was walking the dog this morning eyeing up the blackberries in the field and muttering to myself about the windfallen bramleys on the lawn.....
God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done ;)

Well done Cathy. :) My copy too is looking rather well used now too. Just made the ploughman's Pickle yesterday from the book. :) I am enjoying making Chutneys this year. :)

It does get addictive! Those windfall bramleys and blackberries would make a lovely jam - one of my favourites.

I want to make jam instead of sitting here putting off going back out to the pickaxe and wheelbarrow ::)

Poolfield, which will bring the most satisfaction when you look back at today, later on? Or the most guilt from not having done it maybe

OK, that's the one to do then

Jam most satisfaction, wheelbarrow and pickaxe not done would provide most guilt if not done so??????

I've been out and done another hour so I don't need to feel too bad but now I'm lacking energy to make the jam :( I will have a lovely "courtyard garden" eventually but I've got tons of earth to move first. The skip is coming in the morning, ooooooooooo my aching body

Lie back and soak in the bath Poolfield, with something fragrant in the water and something strong in a glass..........................

 You deserve it  :D
