Hi hope someone out there can help - my dad had an allotment a few years ago that had a couple of gooseberry bushes - these gooseberries were huge, pink and sweet but he cant remember the name of them - can anyone help out at all as i would like to try to grow these on my allotment.

They could be several varities of red goosegogs, I have three of said plants and I call them red desert. Have wonder through google I am sure you will find some more answers.

My red ones are Whinhams Industry and are great straight off the plant when fully ripe but they are deeper than pink.
