hi all just been to put my hens away for the night unfortunatly i found one in a wheelie bin which was full of water ive no idea how long she had been in there,ive brought her home and she felt very cold ive got her wrapped up in a towel should she be ok if i can get her tempreture back up or will she die ?any advice would be gratefull.

I had a Poland take a dip last week, popped her in a cat carrier in the airing cupboard within half an hour shivering had stopped she perked up and trotted back off out side and laid

i put her in a incubator and now she is sat up and looking about it looks as tho she will pull thru i must put sum chicken wire over the wheeliebin it stores water for the allotment so hopefully il have no further problems with my chickens taking a dip.thanks for the advice vember.

You could try offering her a small bowl of something warm like some pellets in warm water.

If she scoffs it all, you can be sure she'll be fine.
