Well, my first harvest when i got my lotty in June was unusual.... NETTLES!!!  :D :D :D
Made nettle soup... it was YUM!  8)

Most unusual thing i managed to get growing this year was Baby Achocha- started late so harvesting now.
Apart from that- it was rare heirlooms like Bijou Mangetout which were about 6-7 inches long. Cupidon beans that are pretty rare. And green collared white carrots, as well as yellow ones. And some chinese leaf like Tsoi Sim and purple Kohl Rabi...

Next year I'm planning a bit more weird and wonderful as well as the above.
Got my seeds already:
Centriflor Tomatoes, Okra, Salsify,Scorzonera, Asturian Tree Cabbage, Honey Berry, Tree Onions, Asparagus Pea and some Goji Berry seeds and have ordered one of those red fleshed apple trees "Redlove Era".
Would like some Jerusalem Artichokes too

When younger I tried lots of 'different' veg....................and never found one I liked, or 1that tasted better than the ordinary ones  ::)

So don't bother nowadays  :)
