Having heard about poor old sadgits cat ruining his plants I came across this

Don't know if they are any help...............and was wondering as they smell of citrus maybe they are coated with an essential oil like citronella or something.  Which led me to google for citronella and cats  and saw this amongst others:

Citrus: Cats don’t like citrus smells. Scatter some orange or lemon peels to create no-go zones. Citronella oil is considered to be a good cat repellent but generally it does not appear to have an effect on dogs.

So it would seem Citronella oil is claimed to work, it doesn't smell that bad cos I have used it myself along with Lavender oil as an insect repellant on a window sill.
